• Eastwood did not endorse anyone for President in 2016, but he supported Democrat Mike Bloomberg in 2020, to the surprise of many.

(A) Eastwood is not a registered Democrat, therefore he cannot vote in a Democrat primary for a Democrat candidate; (B) placing the false allegation behind a questionable source from September 2020 that refers to Democrat primaries, with the deceptive implication that Bloomberg ran in the General Election, is the sort of pure utter nonsense we can expect from our UK friends who have absolutely no understanding of the American political system, yet try to interfere in U.S. elections. Upon further research, I see that I made an error. Seems to me that there's some confusion surrounding my wording of the sentence. What I meant to say was that in an interview, Eastwood voiced support for Bloomberg during his campaign in early 2020, as the primaries were going on. He stated that, in his opinion, "the best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there" . While I understand how my lack of detail could mislead an uninformed reader, you make it sound like there's some kind of malicious intent behind it, as if I'm attempting to defame Eastwood. I can assure you that I'm definitely not trying to make him a "pansie", either. I've got nothing but respect for the man, despite the difference in political views. You from the UK? cause you haven't a clue what you're talking about. A registered Republican cannot vote in a Democrat primary. Hence, a registered Republican cannot "endorse" any Democrat primary candidate. Likewise, in the 2016 general election, Eastwood endorsed Trump. RobS^{Free Kyle!} 12:31, September 27, 2021 (EDT)

So now let's talk about the difference between "support" and "endorse". The only way for Eastwood, a registered Republican, to "support" a Democrat primary candidate is to support him with money, not a vote. While it is true cross-party support like that does occur, Bloomberg was entirely self-funded.

This looks like a pretty lame effort by UK and European socialists to interfere in American elections. If you are an American as you say, it looks like typical deceptive communist Democrat rhetoric aimed at a typical low information idiot Democrat voter. LOL nice trolling, you had me there. You're pretty funny. But seriously, when a public figure, regardless of party registration, *verbally* says that they think a certain candidate should win, what would that be called besides voicing support? Also, Eastwood never really had a hardline stance on Trump. It varied from interview to interview. He initially said that if he had to pick one of the two, he'd rather Trump, but he also criticized Trump's blunt statements/tweeting. So how about this?

"Eastwood refrained from making official endorsements post-2012. During the 2016 election, he had previously stated that while he'd rather have Trump over Clinton, but later said he was remaining neutral. "I haven't supported anybody, really. I have stayed out of it." He also compared the Trump vs Clinton pair to one of Abbott and Costello. During the Democratic primaries in 2020, when asked about who he preferred, he stated that he believed"the best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there"." Is that permissible? That Irish Times article was published a month *prior* to the ExtraTV interview I've cited. Seems to me like Eastwood changed his tune in that time.
