Omnibenevolence

If God hate's then doesn't that mean he isn't omnibenevolent? JohnSelway 22:00, 27 July 2015 (EDT)

I'm not a big fan of the "omni" arguments - omnibenevolent, omnipresent, omnipotent, etc. The "omni" this-and-that view of God is not really supported by the Bible. Hell is real and eternal, and that contradicts the view of God as being omnibenevolent.--Andy Schlafly 22:26, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
So you are arguing God isn't purely good and all knowing? Doesn't sound like the God as I accept him. JohnSelway 23:05, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
Purely good, yes, but all-knowing? Several accounts in the Old Testament suggest that God did an investigation in order to learn the facts. All-knowing would be uninteresting, and my guess is that God has chosen not to be all-knowing. But he has the power to find out when He wants to.--Andy Schlafly 23:13, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
Purely good would mean omnibenevolent though, right? JohnSelway 23:27, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
