"Muslim Inscription"
To put the "Muslim Inscription" in the second paragraph gives it disproportionate significance. The temple was destroyed in AD 70. The Dome was built in 691. This inscription dates from the tenth century, long after physical evidence of the Temple had vanished.
As far as the foundation stone goes, Soloman's Temple is described in detail in 1 Kings 5-9. There is no mention of a stone like this. "The cedar within the house was carved in the form of gourds and open flowers. All was cedar; no stone was seen." (ESV, 1 Kings 6:18). In the Herodian temple, the foundation stone was a platform that rose "three fingers" above the Temple floor, according to the Mishnah. PeterKa (talk) 11:55, December 30, 2021 (EST)
