People who claim that they cannot get to the DMV to get ID are lying because, if so, they would not be able to get to their polling place

You do understand that many people walk or take public transportation to get around--especially in major cities, right? They can get to the polling station just fine. I am well past 30, and I have never driven a motorized vehicle in my life. MattyD 22:19, 2 October 2012 (EDT)

This argument is listed as one of the arguments to avoid; I'm definitely not advocating use of that argument. My goal is to fill in details on why conservatives and other voter ID supporters should stop using these arguments. However, thanks to your input, I will consider rewriting this section so that it doesn't appear that I'm trying to assert the arguments I want to discredit. GregG 22:31, 2 October 2012 (EDT)
