As a Finnish person, I can add in quite a lot of information. Just drop me a hint as to what kind of information you want here. FreakyM 08:58, 23 May 2007 (EDT)

A mention of Lapland would be good. DanH 23:44, 23 June 2007 (EDT)

HEH! This article is full of wrong information and hilarious details. For example size of Finland, there are no glaciers in Finland, ... Add traditionally the polar bears of Finland and article is perfect! --Aulis Eskola 17:10, 15 January 2008 (EST)

It must Uncyclopedia that's causing this. Google for "insane finnish duck" if you are really interested... Somebody should lock this page. --TacNab 11:18, 11 October 2008 (EDT)

How unsetteling. I have a bunch of relatives in Finland.... they're not ducks. Why is this obscure page the target of so much vandalism? --Ṣ₮ёVeN 09:26, 7 November 2008 (EST)

The GDP for 2018 cant be know yet as the year havnt ended and even 2017 is still estimation. I took the Fin GDP from the Fin statistical office so i think its the most honest and accurate. As you noticed i moved the history page to the top because when talking about population without giving info about the background of thepopulation sounds like upside down presenting of things. How do you see it? I also expanded and added more info to the history section, and noticed that you didnt just drop it to the bottom was also took older version without the added info. I dont know if it was on purpose or mistake. About Helsinki, i understand that it changes, but so the countrys population, GDP and all the rest of the parameters, even the size of territory is growing because the land is rising from the sea, so i dont see harm if it exist on the page. It an added value, and i can update it once a year if that the problem. The history of the name "true finns" is unclear, what is 100% sure that it was never the official name of the party, in the beginning there just wasnt any english translation to the name. The straight translation is "basic finns" or " typical finns", however, the name "true finns" sounds like referring to themself as the "only" finns, and that they are true ones, the rest are "false finns". It has so negative sound that only party that want their votes to disapear would use such a name, and websites are using that name to mock the party and to present it in the most extreme light possible, like "true finns, false hope". So based on the fact that its written on the english website as "previously know", i dont see a reason why it should be described as that. If a party would be know in certain circles as "the idiots party", i wouldnt refer to them as such. The event the Blue Reform (Siniset, SIN) emerged out of PS should be also noted as its the biggest breakup in the political history of the country, without that, there would be new elections and ministers and if would be the first elections before the end of the term in the country for decades and a major instability issue, so its just ommiting key fact that is the number one detail in the current situation. The elections was in 2015, the breakup in 2017, and after the breakp the losses of SDP is mentioned, the common reader would think the breakup is in connection or right after the elections. So leaving it as it is now, is misleading, since there is 2 year gap. Whats the reason that the eastern neighbour is referred as to USSR and other times Soviet Union? -Karjalainen
