Talk:Firth of Clyde
I suppose, Joey, this is one way to get yourself credited with a 220 word article without actually writing it. If we are to be logical, the Firth should be merged with the River (as it is in the two geographical references I have just now looked at. Webster's Geographical Dictionary and Brewer's Britain and Ireland both have the Firth as an item within the article on the River. And both have Dumbarton as a separate article. And what are we going to do with Greenock - merge that as well?
At the moment we have a town of some importance, not only in the history of Scotland but in maritime history, international relations and classical music, that does not appear in the Category it should be in.
I suggest that I write an addition to the River Clyde article to include the Firth, we do a redirect of the Firth to the River and you wipe Dumbarton off the map so I can replace it with the original article I have had saved on Word for years. I can have it done today. My time - it's about 8AM here and I have things to do this morning..... AlanE 18:08, 6 September 2014 (EDT)
