Nice article, Vargas. Did you write it yourself? AlanE (talk) 00:06, 3 July 2016 (EDT)

Actually, you did, Alan.
It would have been cleaner and more transparent if Vargas had simply renamed the page rather than making a new one and copying the text, but I don't think he has rename/move rights. There are other people (DavidB4 comes to mind) who can move things, and have been doing a lot of it lately. Putting on a "move" template and letting David attend to it would have been better.
I don't believe any plagiarism or deception was intended. SamHB (talk) 00:58, 3 July 2016 (EDT)
I am sure you're right, Sam. I have not your moderation in all things. Or at least my moderation is in less things than it once was. And I do tend to be crotchety on musical subjects these days.
Actually, my thought was to throw something out there and see whether someone would catch it. You did - which I should have expected.
The upside is that I have spent the last however-long-it's-been listening to Ravel, who is a path less travelled but immensely enjoyed when it is. (I'm a Debussy man myself.)

The French soft c or the "cedilla-ed" c has been available on standard IBM keyboards since at least the mid-1980s. Yet here we are 30 years later, and people have still not learned to type alt-135. You must listen to "Clair de Lune", but where is your respect for French spelling? Now if you don't mind, I have a cloud I need to yell at—Independence [from Britain] Day is coming up! By the way, if you want to keep the blurb you added, I suggest you add it to the original Francois Couperin article, because I followed SamHB's suggestion and requested a move. I'm sorry if this wrongs you again. I really am. The preceding blurb by me was meant as a joke when my mind had been flooded with lively humors and had started to swell. Since this page already exists, I cannot move anything to here until this page is deleted. Hopefully Cons, Jpatt, or another admin will notice the request and do this soon.--David B (TALK) 08:20, 28 July 2016 (EDT)
