General Linear Model vs. Generalized Linear Model

(This is one of the few places at Conservapedia where the Poisson distribution is mentioned). But the whole article is a little bit odd: it just quotes the part of the source on the General Linear Model, and doesn't give any insight into the Generalized Linear Model.

I hadn't realized that the article was not protected - after all, it is one of yours... AugustO 08:00, 21 December 2011 (EST)

I pondered about rewriting this article from scratch (and that would be necessary). But this isn't a good use my time, especially as so many concepts which would have to be linked to are missing (yet). What sense does it make to start with the generalized linear model without an article on the (general) linear model? User:Conservative, you said that you are quite familiar with the Poisson distribution. If you write an informative article on this subject, I can go on and create an article on the Poisson process.
