We could question whether "started together" means "co-founded". --Ed Poor 00:43, 14 April 2007 (EDT)

Wikipedia began as a bunch of computer nerds in the classroom in the late 1990s. Jimbo Wales moreless rescued the project by being its first businessman/financial backer. As the story goes, Sanger's fallout came when Jimbo slashed his salary cause the project was a financial loser.

When Jimbo bought out the software component and took over, Jimbo made it an "open editing" project. Sanger, like Andy Schlalfy, didn't believe in "open editing" and wanted "experts'", hence Citizendium (the name is an oxymoron, cause it's not open to all citizens but only élite "experts").
