UVA causes sunburn and tan, UVB causes surface skin damage and tan, and UVC cuts right through most protections (clothing, sun block, etc. and damages sub-dermal tissue and DNA, without causing tanning. UVB is the weakest, UVA is s little stronger, and UVC is the strongest. Does the ozone layer really only block UVB? UVB can be blocked by a sheet of paper, so I expect the ozone does more than that. Does anyone know?
Also, I remember somewhere seeing a graphic of the ozone "hole," which actually included the scale. As I recall, the "hole" was only about 60% of known ozone concentration. Does anyone know where more information on this can be found? --David B (TALK) 17:43, 8 March 2017 (EST)
