Like the Iraq war of 2003, the US military and intelligence texted Iraqi generals offering them bribes not to fight. In Syria in 2024, likewise the Syrian military did not fight, especially once they heard reports from "credible" MSM sources that Bashar Assad was dead, and likely ignored any communications supposedly coming from Assad.
