Well, yes, there are two main views on talent and humility. One of the major traditional Christian views is to stress God's grace as much as possible while minimizing the individual's own contribution. Perhaps this is meant to compensate for the prevalence of self-centered bragging.

My personal view is that anything good I've done is 95% due to God providing me with the opportunity and resources and so forth, and only 5% is due to my own efforts. But I hope no one here minds if I take pride in my effort, as long as I give the lion's share of the effort to God.
