Are there any details that you are leaving out?

In your zeal to discuss the quote about atheists from Edgar Harrell, in an article with 17 revisions, did you by any chance leave out any important details about the ship? Like when it was commissioned, when and where it sank, and, most importantly, what it was doing there and what it had been doing about a week earlier? SamHB (talk) 20:12, 21 August 2019 (EDT)

The article has 4 sections. Feel free to fill in other historical information.Conservative (talk) 20:35, 21 August 2019 (EDT)
I added some additional material to the beginning of the article.Conservative (talk) 20:44, 21 August 2019 (EDT)
By the way, the video of Edgar Harrell is quite moving. I highly recommend it. He discusses matters like the sailors praying, etc.Conservative (talk) 20:46, 21 August 2019 (EDT)

I just added an excerpt to the article There are no atheists on a sinking ship and it is very moving.

Here it is:

Edgar Harrel also declared:

"You see maybe a body on an eight foot swell. And all of the sudden that swell breaks and that body comes down and he he hits you and he leaves that residue on you. And you see that and say, "Is that going to be me tomorrow or yet today?". And see you look up. And may I say, "There is no such thing as atheists in foxholes. There were no atheists out there."
Everyone prayed. I can hear one of those sailors praying today, "God if you are out there. I don't want to die. I have a son back home that I have never seen. I want to live, but we have to have help." So we prayed and we prayed and we continued to pray. So the lesson that I have learned is I know that there was a higher power looking over me or I wouldn't be here today. And there is not a single day that I don't thank my heavenly Father for sending that Plane #1."[1]

apology

That comment about sentence structure was rude. There are a number of "junior sysops"/assistants that are quite rude and threatening to me on occasion. But you are not one of them, and I apologize.

But please try to move beyond the "declared" and "declared concerning" constructions, OK? SamHB (talk) 23:13, 21 August 2019 (EDT)

Fine. I will go to a thesaurus website and see what I can do.
I just created a Edgar Harrell article. There were decent sources to create the article.Conservative (talk) 23:19, 21 August 2019 (EDT)
