Ted is a comedy film by Liberal Seth MacFarlane.

Plot

John Bennett wants to have a friend. On Christmas he gets a teddy bear, which he calls "Ted". Bennett wishes that Ted could speak. Through a shooting star fulfills this desire. John and Ted are best friends. After 27 years they are still best friends and live together in the same apartment. John has already found a girlfriend, who is called Lori Collins. Ted has an alcohol and drug problem. This is the reason, why Lori wants him to leave the apartment. Ted finds a job and buys an own apartment, but John still spends a lot of time with his best friend. Lori separates if from him. John is devastated. After Ted tries to straighten out the relationship between John and Lori, he gets kidnapped by a men, who wants to give Ted to his son. Lori and John try to get him back, but the kidnapper tear the teddy bear into two pieces. Ted is lifeless and John and Lori try everything to get him alive. At the end another shooting star can be seen in the heaven and Ted becomes alive again.
