This is a simplified version of the template of the same name on Wikipedia. Editors kept adding to the Wikipedia template over the years to promote "their" article, and it became overgrown with trivia. I also took out Taiwan-related material. Whether the real China was in Taipei or Beijing was a burning issue back in the 1950s and 1960s. But I think it is misleading to suggest that this is an active concern in more recent times.
