The Highland Council

The Highland Council is one of the 32 local authorities in Scotland, and it is responsible for local government in the council area Highland. Spanning a large area of the Scottish Highlands and Inner Hebrides, The Highland Council covers the entirety of of the counties Caithness, Cromartyshire, Nairnshire and Sutherland, the majority of Inverness-shire and Ross-shire (save for the parts in the Outer Hebrides), north-western Argyllshire and a small part of southern Moray.
