Toys R Us
Toys "R" Us was a toy-themed retail chain. It is well known for its animated mascot Geoffrey, a giraffe. Its corporate parent, Toys "R" Us Incorporated, is a privately held corporation headquartered in Wayne, New Jersey. Toys "R" Us Inc. also owns Babies "R" Us, FAO Schwarz, Imaginariun, and Toys.com. It had a flagship Toys "R" Us store which was 110,000 sqft facility in New York City's Time Square and was a major tourist attraction.
Seeing its performance decline, Toys "R" Us announced in early 2018 that it would close all its United States stores. However, 1 1/2 years later, they opened two stores in Houston, TX and Paramus, NJ which are smaller and follow a slightly different format. [1]
Toys "R" Us was a donor to Planned Parenthood.[2]
