Scott Kenneth Homer Bessent (born August 1962) is an investor and hedge fund manager. He is chosen to be new Secretary of Treasury by president Trump, some speculation raised on him for being at Soros Fund Management.
During Bessant's confirmation vote a man was arrested with knives and a Molotov cocktail. The offender told Capitol Police, "I'm here to kill Scott Bessent".[1]
