Tyler Robinson
Tyler Robinson (born Apr 16, 2003) is an American individual who became infamous for his involvement in the assassination of conservative political icon Charlie Kirk Turning Point USA founder in Utah on September 12, 2025. Robinson was apprehended after confessing to the crime, which occurred during a live event of Mr. Kirk.
Shooting Incident
Robinson's actions were marked by violent rhetoric and apparent political motivations. According to multiple reports, inscriptions found on bullet casings linked to the shooting suggest that Robinson harbored deep animosity towards conservatives, with the phrase "Hey fascist! Catch!" written on at least one of the casings. This has led to speculations that Robinson viewed conservative figures, particularly Charlie Kirk, as "fascists." The inscription and his subsequent actions have been widely interpreted as politically motivated violence directed against those of a conservative ideology.
In the aftermath of the incident, sources close to Robinson's family revealed that he was "full of hate" in the days leading up to the shooting, describing him as someone with extreme and violent views. A family friend mentioned that Robinson's mindset had been increasingly hostile, especially toward conservative individuals and organizations, prior to the attack.[1][2]
Utah's governor explained that Tyler held ‘leftist ideology’.[3] Tyler's mother said son had 'moved to the left' in past year.[4]
Confession and Apprehension
On the day of the shooting, Robinson was apprehended after he admitted to the crime. His confession came shortly after law enforcement agencies identified him as the prime suspect based on evidence collected at the scene and the inscriptions on the bullet casings. Robinson's motivations remain a subject of investigation, with some analysts suggesting that his attack was driven by an ideological hatred for those he considered "fascists" or extreme conservatives.
Earlier, he confessed on Discord.[5]
Personal life
It has been revealed that he was dating and living with transgender.[6] His parents are Mormon, active in church.
