Taxonomy template request

Can you make minor changes to the taxonomy template, such as the one here: blue whale? What you did to the country template was outstanding, and I would like to see something similar with the taxonomy one. This also includes four additional lines at the bottom for info: a line indication "range", of which would be added a map image regarding the animal's range; "habitat" (i.e. desert, polar seas, tundra, etc); "population" (est. numbers world-wide of the animal); "conservation status" (for threatened, endangered, extinct, etc). I wish I could, however I'm currently having a lot of issues connecting to Conservapedia - the only reason I'm on now is because I brought my laptop to a friend's house (and I can't stay very long); I've emailed Andy with the problem however, so I'm sure that everything will be sorted out and I'll be happy to try and work on the taxonomy template for you - thanks so much for your kind words about what I did to the evolution template!--IDuan 22:58, 7 February 2009 (EST)

I can now access CP from home - as soon as I get home from school and eat (i.e. in about 9-10-ish hours from now) I'll get on it.--IDuan 10:20, 10 February 2009 (EST)

Ok, I've started; this is going to probably be a bigger project though; I'm right now trying to figure out how this template could look ok if it had every parameter filled in; so far what I'm doing looks worse than what the template is now - but I haven't really put too much into it yet; to do what I want to do it'll take some more complicated coding, but I'll keep you up-to-date as I go - this is the only thing I'm working on ... so it shouldn't take more than a week.--IDuan 20:18, 10 February 2009 (EST)

Unaccessible Titles

No problem about notifying me of the issue, it's my job! I was able to fix it, let me know if you discover any others. Thanks a lot CPWebmaster 22:24, 11 February 2009 (EST)

Taxonomy template is unlocked

Karajou 12:24, 12 February 2009 (EST)

Oop - it was reprotected and I didn't get a chance to edit it in the gap; I'll keep trying to get in touch with TK ... however my schedule is getting tighter and tighter, so I might not be able to do what I've been doing - which is wait for hours (his schedule and mine seem to be in disharmony lol - we're not getting lucky at all). If he and I can't connect by Saturday - then Karajou I'm ok if you just paste in the new template; I mean, the template being changed is the important thing - it doesn't really matter to me whose name appears in the edit summary. I'm relatively confident about the code, so I don't think that you'll receive any criticism for it, but I'm watching this page so if anyone does give you gruff I'll make sure to intervene and take responsibility.--IDuan 16:28, 12 February 2009 (EST)

Template question

If you are around before I get online, would you please help out Daniel? The post is on Ed Poor's page, link above. Thanks! --₮K/Admin/Talk 01:28, 18 February 2009 (EST)

I would usually be happy to, but CPalmer got there before me, and he's absolutely right - I can't add anything useful :).--IDuan 15:23, 18 February 2009 (EST)

Dates of Existance

Fantastic job on the dates of existance on countries! I was wondering, and I know it is probably quite difficult, but, on wikipedia they have, on either side of the years, arrows that link to what the state was previosuly and what the state is now, Would it eb possible to do soemthing like that here on Conservapedia?--IScott 16:50, 18 February 2009 (EST)

Quite possibly! I don't want to say for sure yes because I haven't really tried something like that here, but I could definitely get the arrows and maybe get the flags. That all being said, I am a little worried about the template becoming overloaded with parameters, so I'll try it some time within the next week and we'll see what it ends up looking like; thanks so much!--IDuan 17:00, 18 February 2009 (EST)

I took a look around, and, in my opinion at least, I feel that having the arrows (which are really all flash and little substance) wouldn't be worth the extra code, especially since having one arrow for the pre-country/post-country status really isn't accurate - there are certainly countries that have split into multiple countries. I'll still work on trying to minimize the code, and maybe one day implementing it, but I'm afraid it can't be at the top of my list right now, but I promise that will definitely attempt it at least a few more times.--IDuan 16:41, 21 February 2009 (EST)

Template:Governors

Thanks for the fix! I'm not well-schooled on the art of template creation yet. WesleySHello! 17:08, 21 February 2009 (EST)

Hey no problem - it was a minor error; if you ever need any help, though, feel free to ask! :) --IDuan 17:46, 21 February 2009 (EST)
