First, I admire your work, and your spirit. But there are a couple of things you need to know, in order to stay in the good graces of the administrators here. They take an extremely dim view of "fact" tags, or "citation needed", or whatever it's called. On Wikipedia, such things are used to live up to their excessive standards of citing everything, from "reliable secondary sources", or whatever all that folderol is. Here, perhaps because we are such a small community, such things are tantamount to calling someone a liar. And removal of such things is tantamount to saying "Are you calling me a liar?" This just isn't the way people should do things. I'd remove the tags myself, though I'm sure JPatt will get to it. Maybe I'll do it anyway.
Just don't add fact tags.
There have even been cases in which a "fact tag war" has degenerated into "If you think my statements are unsupported, why don't you go look up the sources." As though the burden of finding sources is on the person who doesn't agree with the statement. Don't let things go down that path either.
Here's what you should do if you find a statement that you think is wrong or misleading. First, think very carefully about how the new statement should be worded, so as not to be misleading, and so as to upset people as little as possible. Then, do diligent homework on finding references that support your position. Then edit the article. Remember, the person whose work you are changing is likely to be upset. Try to avoid exacerbating the situation. Don't engage in edit wars; make the article truly better. People will support you in this.
Once again, keep up the good work. SamHB 23:26, 3 February 2014 (EST)
