Veronica Escobar

Veronica Escobar is the Democratic party representative from Texas' 16th Congressional District in the U.S. House. Escobar was elected to the office on November 6, 2018. Escobar succeeded Beto O'Rourke after he chose to instead run for the United States Senate in 2018. Along with Sylvia Garcia, Escobar is the first Hispanic female to represent Texas in the U.S. House. Escobar is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and sponsor of the totalitarian Green New Deal. She is strongly with Open Border policy.[1]
