Use

This is a core template which allowsw the creation of further licensing templates Fox 08:12, 23 May 2007 (EDT)

Documentation

Can some omnipotent soul, document this template with a sample copy and paste text. BrianCo 17:46, 22 July 2007 (EDT)

As should have been posted long ago, here is a draft of my understanding of how to use this:

{{license
|license=(type of license)
|reasoning= (reasoning for license)
|source= (where it came from)
|location= (location photo was taken)
|conservapedianotes= ("Conservapedia Notes"?)
|usernotes= (comments)
|date= (date of production)
|author= (take a guess)
|usableonuserpage = (usable on user pages/templates? [Boolean] - seems hard-coded, which should be fixed)
}} --David B (talk) 16:33, 25 April 2016 (EDT)

Here's a clean copy-and-paste version:
{{license
|license=
|reasoning=
|source=
|location=
|conservapedianotes=
|usernotes=
|date=
|author=
|usableonuserpage=
}}

--David B (talk) 18:35, 28 April 2016 (EDT)

"This image may not be freely used on user pages."

There seems to be a problem with either this template, or me. It always says "This image may not be freely used on user pages" whether I add that or not, regardless of the value I give it. Any ideas? --David B (talk) 18:54, 22 April 2016 (EDT)
