Omar Mateen (1986 – 2016) was a registered Democrat[1] who killed 49 people and wounded 53 in the deadliest mass shooting in American history. The shooting occurred on June 12, 2016 at a gay bar in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Mateen was born in New Hyde Park, New York, of Afghan parents. During the shooting, he called 911 to pledged his allegiance to the ISIS terror group.[2]
