Sports gambling is an issue before the U.S. Supreme Court during its October 2017 term in a pair of cases known as Christie v. NCAA. As of January 2018, sports gambling is illegal everywhere in the United States except for Nevada.
Several states, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania,[1] seek to legalize sports gambling and await the Supreme Court decision that is expected in June 2018.
