Mrs. America is a 9-part fake docudrama about Phyllis Schlafly which is scheduled to air on television on FX Networks in the first half of 2020. It is being filmed in Toronto through September 2019, starring Cate Blanchett as Phyllis Schlafly.
It is fake news, Hollywood-style.
While pretending to be factual, the script has a role for entirely fictional character named "Alice", portrayed as a non-existent best friend of Phyllis.[1] The role of Alice is to recite false statements designed to improperly create an impression that Phyllis said or agreed with the falsehoods, when she did not.
