Jared Forrest Golden is a U.S. veteran and representative from Maine's second congressional district.

2018 U.S. House election in Maine's 2nd district
Golden was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, defeating then-incumbent Republican Bruce Poliquin.[1] While initially losing the general election to Poliquin by a margin of just over 2,000 votes, no candidate gained a majority, which triggered a ranked-choice runoff, that which Golden won by just under 3,000 votes.
