Mount Sinai

Mount Sinai, also Mount Horeb, is a mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God.

The mountain is traditionally identified with Jabal Musa (Mountain of Moses), a 7,498 foot peak located in the southern Sinai, now part of Egypt. This identification was made by Helena, Constantine's wife, in the fourth century. Various other locations have been suggested.

Mount Sinai is mentioned 21 times in the Bible, including 19 times in the Torah (first five books) alone.[1]
