The Republican Party of Chile (Partido Republicano in Spanish) is a political party, founded in 2019 by José Antonio Kast. Currently it is a right-wing alternative to the center-right Chile Vamos coalition and has members in Congress and other institutions.
In 2023 the party directive started supporting the change of Constitution since his party won a significant minority in the institution illegitimatelly created to create a new Constitution back in May 2023.[1] This angers patriots who stopped supporting him, many members of the party continued being against the change of the Chilean Constitution nevertheless.
