Does this team look America First, even in the slightest? I don't think so. If Trump goes through with these picks, he will have squandered his unprecedented victory in perhaps record time. And unlike in 2016, nobody can blame his bad picks on "rookie mistakes." He should have learned from said mistakes by now, and if he hasn't then he can only blame himself when the ugly consequences rear their heads. --[[User:Geopolitician|Geopolitician]] ([[User talk:Geopolitician|talk]]) 00:25, December 27, 2024 (EST) | Does this team look America First, even in the slightest? Should Donald Trump be on this list?
This may sound a bit odd, considering that I've previously stated that there's no point to nominating anybody but Donald Trump for Conservative of the Year. But to clarify, that was my optimistic side talking. Now it's time for my pessimistic side's turn to speak.
We need to talk about Trump's post-election appointments. Out of the "Big Four" cabinet positions (Departments of State, Treasury, Defense, and Justice), none of his picks are fit to advance the America First agenda in their respective departments. We have a neocon as Secretary of State, a former Soros executive as Secretary of the Treasury, and another neocon as Secretary of Defense. And if Sundance is to be believed, we also have an Attorney General who long ago proved that she cannot be trusted to stop the weaponization of criminal justice designed to advance political agendas, and is also a registered foreign lobbyist for a country with ties to al-Qaeda and ISIS (Qatar). Beyond that, we have multiple lower-level positions which are also going to be run by neocons, including Ambassador to Israel, Ambassador to the UN, National Security Advisor, and Presidential Envoy for Special Missions. And lastly, we somehow have Big Tech oligarchs serving as presidential advisors.
--Geopolitician (talk) 00:25, December 27, 2024 (EST)
