However, Caldwell has told Tucker Carlson that he was sacked due to his opposition to war with Iran and for pointing out the ‘stupidity’ of US foreign policy which is bringing Russia, China and Iran closer together. He warned that a war with Iran would be incredibly costly in terms of dollars and in terms of the lives of Americans, Iraqis, Saudis, Iranians and Israelis.
