Please join me in defining terms such as Poverty level or Poverty line. Do you have any idea who decides the "poverty level" in the U.S. and on what basis? By my calculations, a family of 4 can live quite comfortably on $20,000 a year in New York City. If you sleep indoors every night and rarely miss a meal, are you "poor"?
