Michael Strahan (born October 21, 1971 in Houston, Texas) is a National Football League defensive end for the New York Giants. He is the NFLs record holder for the most total sacks for a single season with 22.5 in 2001. In 1993, he entered the NFL when he was drafted in the second round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. Since 1993, and as of the begining of the 2007 regular season, he has played in 2000 games, made 372 tackles, 132.5 sacks and four interceptions. In 1997 he was named the NFL's defensive player of the year and has been voted to the Pro Bowl seven times in his career[1].
