Elvis Aaron Presley (1935 - 1977) was an early pioneer of Rock and Roll music. He was one of the most successful musicians of his day and appeared in many movies, most of which were largely interchangable. His gyrating pelvis was scandlous in his day during his rise to stardom in the 1950's. He served in the army and was shattered by his mother's early death. Elvis played in Las Vegas for the last few years of his life, after having gained considerable weight from his earlier years. He died of a drug overdose.

Elvis' shocking and untimely death sent shockwaves through his faithful. To this day his Graceland estate is visited heavily by tourists and became strongly revenue producing after his death.
