Methuselah is a character in the Book of Genesis, the son of Enoch and the grandfather of Noah.[1] He is best known for living until the age of 969 (Gen 5:27), the longest life recorded in the Bible[1]. Taking the years of the Genesis genealogies as literal, his death occurred the same year as the Great Flood.[1] Whether he died with the flood or the flood was put off until his death is unknown.[Citation Needed] Apart from the record of his lineage, the Bible does not mention any other information about him.[Citation Needed]
