"Scientific fascism" is a term coined by United States Congressman James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, in response to the Climategate scandal which erupted in November, 2009. The term apparently means a coordinated effort by group of scientists to enforce a certain point of view upon others; to prevent the acceptance of points of view contrary to those beliefs; to prevent the publication of papers by other scientists with whom they disagree; to delay or stymie the release of data to other scientists who could check their work in accordance with the steps of the Scientific method.
