Ernesto "Che" Guevara (1928-1967) was an Argentine-born Marxist who was involved in guerilla warfare in a number of countries on behalf of Communist causes.[1] He was a major player in the Cuban revolution that led to Fidel Castro seizing power.

Guevara was in his time known as a charismatic leader and his image is still used as a subversive iconic one which adorns millions of t-shirts as well as a whole raft of paraphernalia.

He is also the voice of the conscience of Eva Peron in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Evita. In the cinematic version of the musical, "Che" is played by Antonio Banderas, and Evita by Madonna.
