A Republican, Budd is a member of the United States House of Representatives for North Carolina's 13th congressional district. Budd is a Representative running for Senate to replace retiring Moderate Republican Richard Burr.

He was endorsed by President Donald Trump.[1] However, in May 2022 Budd became an Establishment tool in voting for looting Americans by $40 billion to send to the Leftist regime in Ukraine.[2]
