Gothic

Gothic art is a style of Medieval art, developed in the mid-12th century until the late 15th century. It included architecture, sculpture, panel painting, stained glass, fresco and illuminated manuscripts.

As a term it is used to describe objects, ideas or people with a dark, moody or mysterious feeling or atmosphere.

-Gothic is a term used to describe objects, and ideas.  It should be noted that people who are gothic should not be pointed out as such. I.E. "Look at that gothic."  Gothic is an adhective not an noun.  The proper way to say it is. "Look at the goth."  It's common with the game played by other goths known as Spot-the-Goth.
