Swift-boating is an idiomatic catchphrase generally taken to mean exposing hard truths about Democrats who have distorted the truth or lied about their own activities.
Here on Conservapedia, the term is used to mean exposing hard truths about liberal editors who censor, distort the truth, or engage in deceit.
Origin
The term originated during the 2004 Presidential election when members of the US Navy Swift-Boat unit in which Sen. John Kerry had served came out in opposition to his campaign for the Presidency, and formed an organization entitled Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.[1]

Four years after the term was first used as a verb, it is now entrenched Democrat vernacular. Though, Democrats have decided to cling to their redefinition to be synonymous with lies and inneundo or smear and fear.[2] During the Democrat primaries, Barack Obama used the term when describing his opponents. âThe cause of change in this country will not be deterred or sidetracked by the old âSwift boatâ politics.
