Eccentric often used to refer to odd, bizarre, erratic or unusual behavior in individuals.[1]
Eccentricity is distinguished from mental illness in that eccentrics are usually characterized as happy, whereeas the mentally ill suffer from their behavior[2] Eccentricity is often, but not always, a trait associated with genius. For example, Albert Einstein was said to have smoked cigarette butts he picked up off the street.[3]
