::In historical terms, I would call that two-page document a forgery. It's not the letter itself {what language was the original written in?} appears to be a summary c. 1977 that fits the perspectives of people of that era, post WWII. I don't see a hint or smell of any 19th century idioms. And I don't know much about Pike. I do know many of the Grand Masons or Grand Wizards or whatever they are, are local kingpins, and don't necessarily have a national or worldview. :::I suppose you got a fair point. The last bit about "nihilists and atheists," however, appears possibly authentic. —<code><span style="background:#FF8181">LT</span></code> Rev. 22:13 Tuesday, 02:30, September 26, 2023 (EDT)

To understand the non-democratic feudal society that existed in Europe between 1815-1914, you actually need Machiavelli (from 3 centuries earlier). Read the first sentence of the The Prince; in the 19th century, Europe had a growing population, it was more urbanized, less agricultural workers, more tradesman and craftsmen, yet their governments remained principalities ruled by noble bloodlines with bureaucracies that couldn't really handle a growing population. People had no rights, like freedom of the press, jury trial, etc. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 01:48, September 26, 2023 (EDT)
