Modern slavery in the latter half of the 20th century and the present, in terms of the people enslaved statistics, while being present as a smaller percentage of humanity, slavery is actually larger in numbers in terms of number of people being enslaved during various past periods (This is largely due to size of humanity being larger). According to the modern abolitionist organization Walk Free, "An estimated 50 million people were living in modern slavery on any given day in 2021, an increase of 10 million people since 2016."[1]

  • Forced Labor.
  • Bonded Labor or Debt Bondage.
  • Domestic Servitude.
  • Forced Child Labor.
