The Fox News Channel until April 2023 was ranked as the leading United States cable and satellite news channel.[1][2][3][4] Its profit model is to take advertising dollars based on attracting elderly conservative viewers, and then plow that money into liberal causes and self-enrichment of its owners and studio-limited talking heads. It is part of a globalist-promoting media conglomerate that is fundamentally opposed to Donald Trump, and turned against him yet again immediately after the 2022 midterm elections.[5]
On April 18, 2023, Fox News sold out the First Amendment by agreeing to pay an unprecedented $787.5 million[6] rather than defend the constitutional right to speak out on political issues. To try to save itself a few bucks, Fox News shamefully weakened First Amendment rights. On April 24, 2023, Fox News terminated one of its few genuinely conservative commentators, Tucker Carlson, despite his record-high ratings. Dan Bongino, the top weekend conservative host on the network, was also fired the same month.
On November 9, 2020, former Fox News employee Steven Crowder and his colleagues at Louder with Crowder ran a segment titled, "Fox News Is Not Your Friend! Here's Why..." detailing how the Fox News Channel is politically correct rather than conservative, and why Fox News is virtually no different in most substantive aspects from the left-wing corporate media. They discussed Fox News' suspension of Judge Jeanine Pirro for planning to review allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 election; Fox News calling the state of Arizona for Joe Biden before all other mainstream media outlets; Chris Wallace's subpar performance as a moderator in the first presidential debate of 2020; John Roberts' false assertions that President Trump refused to condemn white supremacy and temper tantrum after refusing to accept White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany's answer with numerous quotes from President Trump directly condemning white supremacy; Fox News' hiring of former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile; and Fox News' collusion with YouTube to algorithmically promote itself as an "authoritative source" at the expense of smaller, independent creators. Crowder additionally recalled being "muzzled" during his time at Fox News, and argued that the reason he was censored may have been consistent conservatism, not inappropriate humor as he had previously assumed. This heavy and unrestrained criticism of Fox News lasted for over half an hour before the commentators moved on to a different topic.[7]
Some conservatives, including President Trump, have noticed that it is shifting increasingly left-wing.[8] On March 27, 2020, Fox fired conservative host Trish Regan for accurately pointing out that the liberal media was overhyping the coronavirus issue as deja vu of their failed attempt to impeach and remove President Trump.[9] Just when fairness was needed, its news anchor Chris Wallace sided with liberals against President Trump in the first presidential debate of 2020. Through advertising revenue, Fox News takes a billion dollars annually from armchair conservative viewers and plows that money into liberal foundations that advance the Leftist agenda for elections and the global warming hoax.[10]
Fox News has been criticized for promoting liberal Republicans rather than conservative ones, such as the late John McCain and Lindsey G
