Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is the 'Lost City of the Incas'. It was built on a Peruvian mountain ridge between 1440 and 1470AD as a resort for Inca nobility and for astronomy purposes.

Machu Picchu is in the World Heritage List since 1983 and is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World since 2007.
