Two slices of toasted white bread

White bread is much lighter than normal whole-wheat bread, being creamy or milky in color. Some nutrients may be lost during the bleaching process, rendering it less nutritious than darker and whole grain breads. One of the most recognized brands of white bread is Wonderbread.

The term white bread is occasionally used as a mild slur for white people or when referring to bland or boring things.
