Whitstable is a town on the north Kent coast, in Southern England. As a coastal town, Whitstable's primary industry is fishing and tourism associated with its oyster harvesting. Whitstable has a strong arts community, and long maritime history, and hosts an annual Oyster Festival, every July[1]. It was famously the home of actor Peter Cushing until his death in 1994. A section of beach was named "Cushing's View" because of the admiration locals had for him[2].
