Clergy

Clergy denotes ordained persons in a religious group, as distinguished from the laity.

Terminology varies. Christian evangelical churches often prefer terms like "Pastor," "Lead Pastor," or "Elder", rather than the traditional titles for clergy used by the Roman Catholic and Anglican Churches of "Priest," "Reverend," or "Father."
