Parthenogenesis (Greek: ÏαÏÎ¸ÎµÎ½Î¿Ï Î³ÎµÎ½ÎµÏιÏ, "virgin birth") is the term in science in which certain species of plant and animals can reproduce without the need of fertilization by a male.
