I don't see the 1950s as the genesis of the conservative movement today. Rather, I think it was the conservative social movement of the 1970s, most notably the "STOP ERA" movement. I don't think National Review ever spoke in a timely, significant way against ERA.--Andy Schlafly 19:06, 4 December 2014 (EST)
